Women's Lacrosse: Head Coach

The ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ women’s club lacrosse team is seeking a passionate, organized and competitive head coach to lead one of the top women’s club lacrosse programs in the region. The head coach will be responsible for player development, practice planning, game strategy, team culture and supporting the leadership of a highly motivated student-run organization.

This role is ideal for someone who is energetic, communicative and committed to helping student-athletes grow both on and off the field.

  • Plan and lead, with the president, team practices during fall and spring seasons
  • Communicate consistently with the team executive board 
  • Weekly meetings with the team executive board
  • Develop practice plans focused on skill development, conditioning, team systems and game IQ
  • Coach all games and tournaments throughout the season
  • Create offensive and defensive strategies and make in-game adjustments
  • Foster a positive, competitive and team-oriented culture
  • Support player leadership and collaborate with team officers/executive board
  • Communicate consistently with players regarding schedules, expectations and team development
  • Provide mentorship and support to student-athletes
  • Maintain professionalism while representing the program and university

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Previous lacrosse coaching experience
  • Collegiate lacrosse playing experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and develop athletes of varying skill levels
  • Knowledge of modern offensive and defensive systems
  • Organized, reliable and adaptable
  • Passion for growing women’s lacrosse and creating a strong team environment
  • Fall season:
    • 3 practices per week (approximately 1.5 hours each)
    • 1-2 tournaments/events
  • Spring season:
    • 4 practices per week (approximately 2 hours each)
    • Weekend competitions and travel tournaments

Compensation is competitive and based on experience, availabilit, and level of involvement with the program. Estimated compensation range: $40-60 per hour or $6,640-$9,960 annually.
