CU Night in Downtown ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ set for July 27

CU ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Chancellor Philip DiStefano will join ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Mayor Pro Tem Rachel Friend at a community event on July 27 to explore how the university and the local community are building a just and sustainable future, together.

The evening event at the downtown ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Theater will provide attendees the opportunity to learn more about upcoming CU ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ projects and partnerships—including the campus of the future and how CU ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ is leading the way on climate change action with the Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Summit this December in partnership with United Nations Human Rights.

Speakers will include DiStefano; Friend; Jim Anaya, dean emeritus and distinguished professor of international law; Karen Bailey, assistant professor of environmental studies, and Jamie Wittenberg, associate dean of the University Libraries.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore CU ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ exhibits and enjoy food and drinks. Following the event, all are welcome to experience the free musical performances at on nearby Pearl Street, sponsored by CU ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½, for the evening.
